How once I was developing a TowerWar.1
I decided to share this article not only on the portal of three letters, where the first D, but here, even with small additions.
Once Varhammer looked his ENT and miniatures, I really wanted to play him, but the price tags were very bitten. And having found figures from the technologist, I quickly came up with the rules and began to play with the girl, like a landscape using different rubbish (pens, paints, boxes)
But having played a couple of evenings, I realized that this is not enough to satisfy my appetite on Wargam.
Taking the will into a fist and using my knowledge (and I not so long ago resigned from the studio in which I worked as a game designer). I began to invent the first version of my Wargam without figures (since I do not have a 3D printer), but with paper components.
The working name of the first version was called redistribution.

In the first version, there was a regular fighter with cubes and I considered it normal until I constantly fell out 1-2, and my rivals 5-6. And each party was like a beating, where I constantly got up with cancer. Cor of the gameplay consisted of the fact that it was necessary to either kill the opponent’s units, or destroy the enemy’s natural resources (which he placed), and the amount was supposed to be 5. When the player lost, he got the opportunity to receive bonuses that he could buy for currency, which can be obtained from natural resources, with the help of workers.
In general, a large-scale cool game, which I was satisfied and believing that the first version is beautiful. With the ability to take other detachments that were planned.
But after I sent this game to the publisher, one thing refused, and the three were just silent. I was upset, but not so much as to lower my hands, I did the tables for a long time and more than once received refusals. So it was all the same.
And then I realized that I need to publish it ourselves. And I thought that it was expensive to publish. Therefore, I decided to make a redistribution 2.0, which I decided to rename, following the example of Varhammer. That is, united two English words, and it turned out TowerWar. And as it turned out, from some language this word translates as a magic battle, was a little surprised, but in general, the choice was made.
The new version turned out to be weaker than her older brother, but became more compact and therefore became more dynamic. Due to the reduction in scale, the main goal has changed, the purchase of units, instead of permanent “sending to another world”. The combat system was also deeper. Instead of a cube, which is still used to move, but the player will never have one unit of OD (I thought about it), the near and long -range combat maps are used.
After I “rested” everything again (and this is a separate story), I began to look for money for publication for my sweatshirt, I decided to sell on Avito and Yulia. And so that there is more money, share responsibility and have a view from the outside. We developed money and started printing ..
The first batch, as I planned, was small and unfortunately not very cheap, given that I have no stable earnings for now. Since there is no artist, we decided to cheat a little and use cheat methods to get a clear and beautiful art. And while the need does not appear, this method will use

But now I can say that many mistakes have been made due to banal ignorance and haste, which is not particularly needed in this case.
