This is a wise approach that absolutely does not prevent the player from guiding in space. And yet, there is faith in the game. However, the gods themselves are not different from people. The war between the gods is a long business. And in the current realities of the first part, the gods-not far from people have gone, just live somewhere there, far away. However – in the Brotherhood of the Sleeping they believe in the devil, who does not even concern any of the gods. Moreover, they follow false ideas, which is why the joke about the sect within the game ceases to be a joke.

Inos does not follow his subordinates, who strive to clean their pockets, as is appropriate for the servants of the Church in any story. Among the fans of Beliara there are those who follow the commandments of the Innos and even pray to him. In general, this is a rather pleasant moment, emphasizing the real influence of the gods on the world of Gothic – there is no substitution of concepts in beliefs. The believer in the Innos knows that Beliar and Adanos exist.

Devil’s tricks cunning … Of course we will now talk about the Brotherhood of the Sleeping. It seems to me that this is the only camp unable to exist independently, not relying on other camps. We had grass trading, recruiting people, and, purely theoretically, such a society cannot exist in Khorinis outside the barrier. This camp holds on faith to escape through subordination of new power, or rather, as already noted, it is kept on a strong fishing line. And here we go to the next.

How to escape? Freedom – as the cause of faith and unification.

The essence of each camp is built only on this issue. The old camp, initially, was the fortress of the king, until the prisoners took the only high walls inside the barrier, receiving the conditions “All Exclusive”. The prisoners received privileges, as if a gang in some film that could transmit money through the guards instead of sharpening and substances. Do they want to get out? I think no. This moment is revealed in the second part, when the former prisoners received freedom and do not know what to do with it. Because … the old camp is still. Homes, like Pablo Escobaru, arranged for himself “La Katedral” and feels comfortable. He has women, subordinates, food, swords and the king himself depends on him. Yes, and understands, I think that the civilized people will not simply accept the thugs and thieves in their circle. His feelings feel more than the Innos. It is profitable for the camp to live in these conditions and they will rather impede changes than to provoke them.

New camp. These guys really live to get out. The new camp rests on the ambitions of a group of people and one person. Mages of water are looking for a way to get out because the world needs them, but here their wisdom is limited and no one needs. Therefore, they hired mercenaries, which dominated whether. A person who has survived a lot, but the most important betrayal of his friend is King Robar, in whom he believed. Whether not only monetary motivation to hold on to the magicians of water, but also the desire to take revenge. He will not violate his word out of the desire of revenge, and therefore will do everything with his strong hands to keep his people in UES and hold on to agreements with magicians until there is a chance to get out. He is intelligent and patient.

At the same time, the new camp is still a free camp, where people are honored, and the notorious thugs live under the same roof. There is no friendship in the new camp, just strong united with strong ones, because in other places they did not find a place. People here, as a rule, do not tolerate their beliefs when they are in the position of a subordinate. They have a conditional leader who rarely intervenes in their affairs. Mercenaries live according to the rule: “I do not climb into your business until you go into mine”. Or you can recall the golden rule of morality. Unlike the monarchical old camp, here we have a new socialist. This also says that rewards are divided between everyone who invested in the success of the case. As for magicians. They just need protection. They pursue their goal and do not climb into the affairs of the mercenaries until their actions interfere with the magicians of water. What are the mercenaries? How to do it? Doesn’t matter. The main thing is that they contribute to the growth of ores and do not fought openly with the rest, which, of course, will slow down their research.

There is no conflict between the camps, but there is ideological tension. Some want to live freely and return their place in the world from which they were pulled out. Others, as already written, want to live at the expense of others and it suits them. Relations between the old and new camp – a powder barrel.

Where is the brotherhood in this system?

In the distance. For all camps – brotherhood – just a trading partner. The benefit is purely economic. Even Diego does not really know in a welcoming speech what is being done there and what is the way of life. Only the basis and rumors. The new one is loyal, the trade there is more actively. In addition to grass, the brotherhood offers almost nothing. Periodically they manage to recruit beginners. But how a player is set up from the very beginning of the game, it comes out at the end. Faith of fanatics from the swamp camp – linden. And not because they believe in a non -existent deity. Just the sleeping person deceives them and leads only to death. In theory, Ksardas guessed about it. Beliara went out to recruit a dozen short -sighted minds to his side. Honestly, I poorly understand this camp and, however, it is known that most quests and plot did not reach the players. Content was cut out due to short terms. The only thing that is known is that the spiritual mentor of the fraternity saw in a dream of his “God” and through this he found the way, promising everyone to save and liberation. But it is not known whether he himself promised himself as well as this. And therefore, I can calculate that this is a tiny reproach towards a blind and unreasonable faith. Understand why a person chooses this camp is almost impossible. You can spy purely human – they offended there, I’ll go here. Everywhere they make you work and it is impossible to relax? I’ll go to the brotherhood! The benefit for the player is also practically absent. Again due to carved content.

The first has a simulation of life (if you talk about camps again), actions and aspirations of each character. The second was limited to local stories, and conflicts are not added. The third has lost this feature. Throughout our lives, we somehow have each of these gods. Exemption from them or the rejection of one specific hypostasis means accepting oneself. It is difficult to call an overly impulsive person who has grown up, but when a person in balance holds all three parts – he is in harmony with himself and his actions. He knows value to them, knows that he is responsible for them.

And in all this it is the most rational part (it includes the instinct of survival) helps us to grow up. Analysis of experience, analysis of behavior and actions. Introspection, self -criticism. The same is the same Adanos, in the end, despite his destruction, leads the protagonist of the third part to the expulsion of the gods. To the realization that nothing should be controlled by us and we should not manage emotions or fears, but we ourselves. He is a parent who is ready to let go of a child. This needs this to each of us. This does not mean that we get rid of problems and complexes. This means we are completely aware that there are vices in us and accept that we will live with them. And, of course, how. What is very different from the stage when the parents told us about the bad and good, filtering through their lives and experience (which can ultimately distort our perception of the world) or society (having a bunch of temptations, vices in which you can get lost and frightened). The phase when we choose the side inside the game, helps us to realize ourselves. What life do we want next?

This is what the trilogy for me is. It has a thought and an idea that lies through a great adventure. Like Bilbo Baghins or Frodo, he carries a burden on himself and goes through the stages of formation.

Why am I ?

Alas, many details are not enough to confirm my speculations, and therefore it is just a nostalgic view of the development of my favorite game.
